I’m a freelance graphic designer and maker with a passion for thoughtful visual storytelling. My graphic design aesthetic is modern and clean with a touch of whimsy thanks in part to my time as a specialty cake decorator. I have a strong eye for color and enjoy using minimal design for maximum impact.

In my work as a Community Engagement Manager at the Detroit Institute of Arts, I love connecting people with the incredible museum collection and programming that the DIA has to offer. Art and design have always been a huge part of my life and I am passionate about making art accessible to everyone, both in the museum and out in the community.

The Aviary

Over the past few years I’ve become interested in birding and discovered a whole world of natural beauty that I had never taken the time to really appreciate. I love that this hobby encourages me to get outside and explore the incredible natural resources of Southeast Michigan. From Sandhill Cranes to Bald Eagles, I am amazed at what I can see within 30 minutes of my own home, or even in my own backyard!

This winter, with the temps below freezing for several weeks, I found a new way to channel my love for birds. From gift boxes, ribbons, paper, and natural treasures that I’ve been hoarding for years, I started making bird dioramas, each one a unique world and story unto itself. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
